The CamelWeb Academy

While it's certainly true that Romania has a good and evolving education system that creates skilled professionals, she is the same as any country in the world. There are still children and young adults that do not have access to this same level of education as others. Many of these young adults are naturally gifted in sciences and social sciences but without being given the chance to develop, and without the nurturing of their natural talent, they will not be able to grow and develop as they should.

Helping Young Adults

When we moved CamelWeb Creations to Romania in 2002 we decided it was only right to help in any way we could. As such, we developed a scheme now known as the CamelWeb Academy. The academy is designed specifically to help those children with an aptitude and enjoyment in IT to develop their skills, hone their talents, and learn new methods. In doing so, they can become valuable members of the world's workforce and they have the opportunity to get good jobs with good pay packets.

Real, First Hand Work Experience And Knowledge

Participants are given genuine projects, or a portion of a project, and are closely guided as they work through that project. This provides them with an outlet for their talents and a safe and legal environment to practice their skills. Since establishing the Academy we have seen many youngsters grow, develop, and mature into skilled professionals, and many have gone on to further their education with the grounding we have been able to provide.

Knowledge Of General Business Practice As Well As IT Skills

One of the biggest benefits for participants in CamelWeb Academy is that they gain a practical and first-hand experience and knowledge of the tasks that they perform. Typically, this means that they learn a lot quicker and are more eager to learn than when faced with page after page of theory with no tangible method of testing that theory. This also means that, in the future, when they seek employment, they will become highly valuable members of any IT team or company.
